Welcome

The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the EGA is a group of embroidery enthusiasts dedicated to the art and craft of embroidery. The chapter is part of the Greater Pacific Region of the EGA.

Our monthly meetings are held Wednesday mornings in person the third Wednesday of every month.  For those who are unable to attend the morning meeting, we conduct a Zoom session in the evening.  We also meet at the occasional coffee shop or bookstore or at a member's house / backyard.

Each monthly meeting consists of three segments:

  • Chapter business where we update membership on chapter business, such as new members, outreach plans, educational opportunities and more

  • Golden Needles, Show and Tell

  • A short program where we showcase a new technique, design or method.  Antique samplers and folk designs in cross-stitch, naturalistic crewel work, geometric designs in needlepoint and hardanger, contemporary work, and anything in between, our interests are wide and varied.

Weekly stitch-ins are Wednesday mornings.  Our stitch-ins are informal gatherings via Zoom or in-person and are open to everyone. We stitch, talk, share ideas and information, and show projects. About 10-15 people attend.
