Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America

Welcome
The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the EGA is a guild dedicated to the art and craft of embroidery, since 1979. The chapter is part of the Greater Pacific Region of the Embroiderer's Guild of America.
We conduct hybrid sessions: weekly Zoom and once a month in person for chapter meetings, at the occasional coffee shop or at a member's house / backyard. We meet in person the third Thursday of every month.
Each monthly meeting consists of three segments:
-
Chapter business where we update membership on chapter business, such as new members, outreach plans, educational opportunities and more
-
Golden Needles, Show and Tell
-
A short program where we showcase a new technique, design or method. Antique samplers and folk designs in cross-stitch, naturalistic crewel work, geometric designs in needlepoint and hardanger, contemporary work, and anything in between, our interests are wide and varied.
Weekly stitch-ins are Wednesday morning. Our stitch-ins are informal gatherings online and open to everyone. We stitch, talk, share ideas and information, and show projects. About 15-20 people attend.
